DTPMP·Na5 is a neutral and non-toxic product. It is used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor for circulating cooling water and boiler water in water treatment.

DTPMP·Na5 can be used as a peroxide stabilizer, a chelating agent for textile printing and dyeing, a pigment dispersant, a trace element carrying agent in chemical fertilizers, and a concrete additive. In addition, it is widely used in papermaking, electroplating, cosmetics and other fields.
